Use this page to write a Physical letter to Chef Thomas Hay CCC
Thomas Hay has been a life time member of the Muskoka & District Chefs Association and the Canadian Culinary Federation for many years.
A long time activist and one of the founding members of the Muskoka & District Chefs Association. Struck down with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) in his forties removed him from the trade of Chef. Thomas has been confined to a wheel chair / bed for many years and would like nothing better than to hear from you. (actually, he would like nothing better than the ability to cook again)
Letters will printed to paper and mailed from within Canada to Thomas at his Ontario residence. What better way is there to cheer someone up or let him know you have not seen him for many years. Let Thomas know whats going on in your life. Perhaps you don't even know Thomas Hay but would like to let him know who you are and what you do for a living.Tell him if you enjoy cooking or if it sucks. Tell him a recipe. Tell him the things that have made cooking and similar interests the fantastic joy in your soul. Tell Tom about the seasonal items you are making, summer time , Easter time. Winter, specific holidays, birthdays, . . .

"Associations are more about what you can offer than what you can get. It’s hard to measure the value of camaraderie and support, of networking and associating with others in the same field. But a lot of chefs work in one place, and don’t have the luxury of getting out and around. Belonging to the CCFCC is a way to “get around” by utilizing . . . and contacting fellow members. The same way that we practice our cooking every day to stay in top form, to learn, to improve, we have to practice being contributing members to our association—that’s the only way we can make it work for us."
