RETAINING MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES
Payment of dues on an annual basis does have its privileges, not the least of which is retaining access to Branch activities, educational resources and seniority of access to Life Membership. If you happen to miss a year then it is incumbent upon you to pay the outstanding year(s), especially if you have retained access to and or participated in Branch activities although in most cases, unpaid dues will result in non access to Branch activities.
In the event you have allowed your membership to lapse (automatic after 2 years), you may still pay the outstanding amounts to retain status or pay an additional fee to reinstate your membership ($30.00 + tax). However, be aware that a reinstatement will interrupt the minimum required length of paid membership should you be in a position to apply for Life Membership.
This category provides for membership during one’s apprenticeship or course of study in a food service environment or recognized school of culinary training. Junior membership is seen as an ideal opportunity for young culinarians to become acquainted with their peer groups; attend specialized functions and educational seminars; develop networking resources for future employment and competitions.
The applicant may retain junior membership until he/she has attained certification as a Journeyman after which the member will be invited and required to become a national regular member.
A membership application may be obtained from the Canadian Culinary Federation Website, usually under the admin & resources/forms & docs tab

If you are interested in becoming a Life Time Member, you must meet the following criteria.
Be a National Active Member in good standing who has reached the age of sixty (60) and has retired, and has been a member of the C.C.F. "Muskoka Branch" for a minimum of ten (10) or more consecutive years or
a C.C.F. "Muskoka Branch" Member in good standing who has been declared permanently and totally disabled, regardless of age, provided that they were a member in good standing for five (5) or more
years.
Application of this type can only be done by the Muskoka Branch Executive, NOT you as a member. An approved application will carry your name, your CCFCC Member Number and three MDCA Executive signatures and will be presented at the next annual conference of the CCFCC.
If you are still interested in this membership type, you must contact the President of the Branch "Muskoka" and ask for an application to be started.
Waiver of Federation dues will be effective upon approval of this member’s National Life Membership application by the CCFCC National Board of Directors.
Already a member of another Branch in Canada? Rather be a member of the Muskoka & District Chefs Association?
Well then, all you have to do is transfer your membership to us.
To transfer your membership, please contact the CCFCC admin contact at admin@ccfcc.ca and ask for a substantiating email stating your membership account status and membership number with the Branch you are currently with to us, the Muskoka & District Chefs Association.
*note, an MDCA membership alone is not possible
**note, regarding a "National Member at Large" Membership in the CCFCC
This membership category is specifically designed to accommodate cooks and chefs who do not live or have access to a CCF Branch in their area. There are two basic elements that permit you to apply for this category:
1. Your technical qualifications meet the requirements of a national member
2. The applicant is living more than 250 km from the nearest CCF Branch and/or reside outside Canada
You would receive all the rights and privileges of a national member however; a Branch of your choosing would use your vote on national issues.
Application fees and annual dues are payable direct to the national office. The address is: Canadian Culinary Federation Attn: National Administrator 30 Hamilton Court, Riverview, NB E1B 3C3 Canada
Fees for application are as follows: $30.00 one-time initiation; $100.00 annual dues; all prices subject to HST/GST depending upon province of residence. There are no taxes for applications outside of Canada.
"Associations are more about what you can offer than what you can get. It’s hard to measure the value of camaraderie and support, of networking and associating with others in the same field. But a lot of chefs work in one place, and don’t have the luxury of getting out and around. Belonging to the CCFCC is a way to “get around” by utilizing . . . and contacting fellow members. The same way that we practice our cooking every day to stay in top form, to learn, to improve, we have to practice being contributing members to our association—that’s the only way we can make it work for us."
